finally

Another semester came to a close and I've officially entered cruise mode for the next couple weeks. Now I can start focusing more on ranking up in COD: MW2.

This guy is back home for Christmas holiday and maybe some time after. Filming will ensue given that nothing bad happens to me or my camera.

In regards to the title name, Sam Peralta sent me a loving e-mail telling me I should update this site more so he can stare at his computer for longer periods of time and so he can reminisce about Maui while he's cruising in Australia. So this post is for you Sam. I would promise more posts to come, but I might get trampled on Friday.

I neglected to balance out my school work and cruising and am in the midst of the busiest time of the semester with a bunch of work that seems to keep piling up faster than ever. That montage I said I'd post is taking a little longer than I anticipated.

I forgot this clip existed for a little. This is from October 2007, a couple months after first moving to California. David was out in the OC for the Damn Am. He wanted to film so Amir came down to light spots up for us. After he got a clip on some double set, we ended up at this rail which was just up the street. The rest was history.

I added Nate's Cali edit to the video page. I'm working on a montage of some footage I got while living in California. Most of it has just been sitting dormant in my hard drive for the last year and a half and watching Warfare inspired me to make use of it. Looking through all the footage surfaces tons of memories, good and bad. They almost make me miss that place. I think I'm gonna go back, for a while this time... we'll see.

I seen this a couple days ago and then again right now and still have a hard time believing that it actually happened. This is so fucked up.

It's a couple hours late now but yesterday (Sept. 30) was Tom's 21st birthday so Happy Birthday again! Warfare is premiering next week. I don't know if Ryan remembered but he was leaking me some footage via iChat and it's looking pretty good.

insight into my life

The moke life can get pretty monotonous sometimes so I fill that void by religiously following a select few tv shows. My favorite is premiering its new season tonight. Now if you haven't seen this show, I highly suggest you watch it. Every episode is gold. I probably won't update this place with any skating for a couple weeks unless someone sends me updates. School is putting me to work this semester.

If you didn't know, my friend Tom made it in Slap's One in a Million contest this year. To sum the contest up for those of you who don't know, you send a sponsor me, they pick the top 10, then you pick the top 5, the top 5 then gets flown out to SF where they will skate for a week and ultimately be judged by Slap and their entourage and decide who really is One in a Million. There is no other person who deserves it more than Tom (my personal bias) so vote for his ass!

Also, Warfare is finally being completed as you read this (assuming this is before 9/19/09) and he's got a bunch more amazing footage all tied together into what I can only imagine to be a wonderfully directed work of art.

the wind finally slowed down and aside from the mugginess, the weather is finally good for skating. i haven't gotten anything new in a while so i put some old digi-cam footage of nathan together. expect more digi-cam crap because it's a lot easier to film with and it seems to be really trendy in blogs right now. if the rest of the weekend goes well, expect another update soon.

the weather hasn't been too cooperative as of late but, i managed to get some disposable clips of nick brown this past weekend. it was my first time touching my camera in at least 4 weeks.

status update

I visited Kaloe at the hospital today. He got a CAT scan last night and found out that it that if he didn't go to the hospital last night, he could've slipped into a coma. He says he's been having trouble sleeping because of the bed he's been forced to sleep on and he has what seems to be a slightly decreasing headache. He's staying there for another night and should be released sometime tomorrow.

Kaloe didn't just get a concussion the other day, he ended up fracturing his skull and had some minor bleeding in it. Last I've heard, he might get flown to Oahu to get surgery tonight. If you don't know, this could lead to his spiritual departure from Earth. I honestly can't even imagine what life will be like without him. If you believe in a God, then please pray for him. If you don't, at least wish him luck that he'll get through this.

is fucking sick. I slept on his living room couch at his dad's apartment in LA after night skating one night. I was awoken in the morning by him and his dad telling me to go sleep in his dad's bed because he was having guests over. I felt really awkward and uncomfortable because that was the first and only time I've met his dad. When I woke up again, the house was quiet. I peeked in Adrian's room and he was sleeping on the floor. I don't think I've ever thanked him for that so thanks for looking out Adrian!

random thing's you should know

I scratched my old site and am settling with this layout for now. It's essentially the same thing, just cut up and a lot more simple. It'll be a lot easier to update now that I'm using blogger again. This means more frequent updates (well more frequent than the past).
